Litho Printing
Datum uses the newest Heidelberg presses delivering the highest lithographic print quality and speed. We ensure that every step of the litho process flows smoothly into the next, to the extent of calibrating our repro processes to allow for different dot gain properties of coated and uncoated stocks.
We usually print using B2 presses (750 x 350mm) in up to six colours but can source even the most unusual lithographic printing requirements. High quality presses are important to us and Heidelberg presses are our standard. These presses incorporate features such as an inline spectrophotometer (Inpress Control) that reads the colour on every sheet as it runs, continually making adjustments to ensure perfect colour.
Finishing
Datum can provide a wide variety of finishing techniques including:
Saddle Stitching
All items up to 80 pages with flat books 3-knife trimmed. We also have 5-knife and 4-stitch options for producing miniature booklets.
Die Cutting
Our three die cutting machines will die-cut, perforate and score any shape you require. Even kiss cutting is performed accurately, with no cut through on the backing sheet.
Other Finishing Techniques
Numbering, shrinkwrapping, wiro binding and a pile turner are all available.
